Moredun is Scotland’s leading centre for research on the prevention and control of livestock diseases. Research conducted at Moredun aims to improve the well-being of farm livestock by developing strategies to reduce disease prevalence and incidence.

The Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health is part of the College of Life Sciences and Medicine, University of Aberdeen. In a unique enhancement of Scotland’s National Capability in diet and health research, we bring together extensive capabilities and expertise to pursue cutting edge science aimed at preventing disease and improving health through good nutrition.  Our aim is to provide robust nutritional evidence to guide food and health policies.

Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) was founded in the 17th century as a physic garden. Now it extends over four gardens, boasting a rich living collection of plants, and is an internationally renowned centre of excellence in plant biodiversity research and biodiversity conservation.  Our mission is “exploring and explaining the world of plants for a better future”.

SAC (Scottish Agricultural College)

SAC is an innovative, knowledge-based organisation, supporting the development of land-based industries and rural communities. SAC, uniquely in the UK, links its research for the rural sector both to policy development through its Rural Policy Centre, and directly to the economy through its consultancy services.
